【易错点津】until意为“直到……为止”，表示一个行为或一种状态持续到某个时间为止。用于肯定句中，句子谓语动词为延续性动词，表示一个过程持续的时间；用于否定句，句子谓语动词为非延续性动词，表示直到某个时间，某事才发生。

考点 3 another, other, others 与the other 的辨析
【易错点津】other可作形容词或代词，作形容词时，意思是“别的，其他的”。指两个人或物中的另一个时，只能用the other，不能用another，此时的other作代词。others泛指“其他人”，在句中可作主语、宾语。another指同类事物中的三者或三者以上的“另一个”，只能代替或修饰单数可数名词。

考点 4 except, except for, besides 与beside 的用法区别
【易错点津】except意为“除……外；除去……”，强调从整体中除去部分，即except后的部分不包括在整体之内。except for…是“除去……之外”的意思，表示对主要部分的肯定和对局部的否定，强调整体不错，但有一点局部的不好。besides相当于as well as，意为“除了……以外还有……”，即“除去一部分还有另外一部分”的意思，表示besides 后面的部分包括在整体之内。beside为介词，意为“在……旁边”。
