Is there something in your community that could be changed Is there a person in your neighborhood who could offer help If you’re hoping for someone to make a difference, that someone could be you!
Volunteering your time is a great way to make a difference to your community. And you’ll feel good about doing something that helps people or improves the places around you.
This past summer, my friends and I noticed how messy our neighborhood park was. We wanted it to be different. We worked without parents and teachers to clean up the park. We had a great time making the park even better than before, and now the whole neighborhood is able to share and enjoy it again.
Maybe cleaning up a park isn’t your choice, though. No problem! You can turn anything that matters to you into a volunteer project. Do you like playing chess, reading, or spending time with your pet You can volunteer to do what you love to do. For example, you could help at an old people’s home, simply by talking or playing games with them to make their days better. If you’re good at math or English, you could volunteer to be a homework helper at your school. You’re always needed to walk dogs or play with cats. Or you can collect things for homeless people, such as soap and toothbrushes.
You see, there is something for everyone. Whatever you do as a volunteer, your time will be enjoyed. Kids everywhere are making a difference by volunteering. You can, too!

Most people have a body temperature of 36℃—37℃. Some people have a normal temperature that is a little higher, while others have a normal temperature that is a little lower.
Most people’s body temperature even changes a little bit during the whole (整个的) day. It’s usually a little lower in the morning and a little higher in the evening. For most kids, their body temperature stays the same from day to day until germs (细菌) go into their bodies.
When a fever starts, your body will get hotter than usual at first, and then you may feel very cold even though it isn’t cold in the room. It’s very important for you to drink more water when you have a fever, because there isn’t enough water in your body as your body gets hotter.
The fever isn’t a big problem. When you have a fever, you should have a good rest and drink more water. After a few hours, the fever may go away on its own. So many doctors agree that many people with a fever don’t need to take any special medicine unless the fever is making them very uncomfortable.

An experience of doing housework
It’s meaningful for everyone to do some housework. Last Sunday was Mother’s Day, I decided to do some housework to show my love to mom.
I got up early to prepare breakfast for my parents. I cooked three eggs, one for each of us. My parents enjoyed the meal happily, though I found one of the eggs was broken and another seemed not to be OK. Then I washed our clothes. With the help of the washing machine, I finished the whole washing task by myself.
