1.turn on的固定搭配
turn on意为“接通(电流、煤气、水等);打开”,
turn off,意为“切断(电流、煤气、水等)关闭”。
turn up调高(音量等)
turn down调低(音量等);拒绝
2.need的用法
实义动词,意为“需要” need to do sth.需要做某事
情态动词,意为“需要”,后跟动词原形,一般用于否定句或疑问句中。
由must引导的一般疑问句,肯定回答用must,否定回答用needn’t或don’t /doesn’t have to。
3.“基数词/冠词+表示计量单位的名词+of”的用法
“基数词/冠词+表示计量单位的名词+of”可以用来表示数量,修饰不可数名词或可数名词复数。
4.动词不定式短语作目的状语
动词不定式(短语)作目的状语时可以位于句首,常用逗号与后面的句子隔开,意为“为了做某事”,也可放于句末。
5.prepare for...的固定搭配
prepare for(=get ready for)意为“为……做准备”。
prepare sth. for...意为“为……准备某物”。
prepare sb. for sth.意为“使某人为某事做准备”。
prepare to do sth.(get ready to do sth.)意为“准备做某事”。
6.fill的用法
fill动词,意为“(使)充满;装满”,
empty(倒空,腾空,掏空)。
fill...with sth.用某物装满……
be full of充满……(=be filled with)
7.until的用法
until介词,意为“到……时;直到……为止”,相当于till。
not...until...意为“直到……才”,句中谓语动词常为非延续性动词,指until所表示的时间到了,该动作才发生。
8.hang out的固定搭配
hang out意为“闲逛;常去某处”。
hang用作动词,可表示“悬挂;垂下”,其过去式为hung。
hang up挂断电话,悬挂,挂起
9.experience的用法
experience用作不可数名词,意为“经验”;还可用作可数名词,意为“经历”。
