and的用法知多少
在英语里,and是一个使用频率很高的连词。它的常见用法有:
1. and连接两个并列的单词、短语或句子,意为“和;又;而”。例如:
There is book and two pens on the desk. 书桌上有一本书和两支钢笔。
2. and用来连接数词,意为“加”。例如:
Five and seven is twelve. 五加七等于十二。
3. and用在数词中,连接百位数和后面紧跟的数。例如:
two hundred and forty-five百四十五
4. and表示“然后;接着”。例如:

走近熊猫和袋鼠

The Fox and the Goat
It was hot day. The fox was very thirsty. He looked into a well, but suddenly he fell into it. There was a lot of water in the well, so the fox drank for a long time. But when he tried to climb out, he couldn’t. The well was too deep.
A thirsty goat came then. He saw the fox down in the well. But he didn’t know why the fox was in the well. He said to the fox, “How’s the water ” The fox answered, “Very fine, very fine.
