后直接接名词
例： I prefer the suit on the right. 我更喜欢右边的那套衣服。
后接动词时，可用不定式或动名词
例：I prefer walking alone. = I prefer to walk alone.我喜欢一个人溜达。
与would或should连用时，总是表示特定的想法，所以其后总是接不定式。
例：We would prefer to do it later. 我们宁愿以后做它。
prefer…to…，主要用于比较两个名词或动名词,表示“宁愿……而不愿……”“喜欢……而不喜欢……”
例：I prefer the seaside to the mountains. 我喜欢海边，不喜欢山区。
Tom prefers reading to talking. 汤姆喜欢读书而不喜欢谈天。
on the right, on the left 表示方位的介词短语，在句子中做地点状语
直接使用,也可以用on + 某人的 + right/left
例：Come here, Tom. Please sit on the right. (on my right) Tom，过来，坐我右边。
如果表示在某人或某物的左边/右边，用on the right (left) of
例：The bank is on the right of that hospital. 银行在那家医院的右边。

make 引导的一些短语及用法
be made of由……制成，能看出原材料（被动语态）
例：The table is made of wood. 桌子是由木头制成的。
be made from，由……制造，看不出原材料（被动语态）
例：The paper is made from wood. 纸是由木头制成的。
be made in 在……地方制造/生产（被动语态）
例：Our schoolbags are made in that factory. 我们的书包在那家工厂生产。
make friends with …… 和……交朋友（注重friend要用复数）
例：Everyone likes to make friends with Oscar, because he is very kind. 每个人都喜欢和Oscar交朋友，因为他很善良。
One...the other （one）“一个.....，两者中的另一个......,针对两者
One ... another......“一个......，别的.....”针对多者
例：I have two colorful pencils. One if red and the other one is blue.

语法--形容词的比较级和最高级（二）
比较级的用法：
1）不同程度：A+系动词+形容词比较级+than+ B
例：Shenzhen is a newer city than Hong Kong. 深圳是比香港更新兴的城市。
Nothing is more enjoyable than playing tennis. 没有什么比打网球更令人愉快的了。
2）表示程度加深
“比较级+and+比较级”（越来越…）或者“more and more＋多音节或部分双音节形容词原级”（越来越…）
例：It’s getting bigger and busier. 它变得越来越大，越来越繁忙。
I think Lucy is more and more beautiful. 我觉得Lucy越来越漂亮了。
3）“The + 比较级，the + 比较级”（越…，越…）
例：The more you go jogging, the healthier you will feel. 慢跑越多，你会感觉越健康。
The less you get from others, the happier you are. 索取越少，快乐越多。
4）形容词比较级形式表最高级含义
主语＋系动词＋形容词比较级＋than+any other+可数名词单数（比任何一个都…）
例：New York is much busier than any other city in the US.
纽约比美国任何一个其他城市都繁忙得多。
注意：比较级中的比较双方，一定是同一级别的人或事物。
分析： Your schoolbag is much bigger than mine. (T)你的书包比我的（书包）大多了。（书包和书包比）
Your schoolbag is much bigger than me. (F) 你的书包比我大多了。（书包和人比）
最高级的用法。（见上单元笔记）
副词的比较级和最高级用法基本相同，注意副词主要修饰动词/形容词/副词，做题时注意加以区分。副词的最高级前的the可以省略。
