True friends always laugh with us and share our sadness. They are our partners and share interests with us.
They always talk with us when we feel really unhappy. We can share our secrets (秘密) with them or tell them what
is really in our minds.
What’s more, true friends are our helpers. We will feel safe and warm with true friends around us. At times,
they give much help to our everyday lives, cooking a meal, doing the housework, or giving us a hand when we need
one.
True friends are there to give an ear to listen, or a shoulder (肩膀 ) to cry on. When we have stress (压
力), they not only listen to us, but also talk about what is stressing us. They can help us forget about problems at
work or at home by sharing interests and having fun with them. For a short time, we can enjoy ourselves and laugh
happily.
