Qian Xuesen was born in Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province on December 11,1911.After he graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1934, he traveled across the Pacific Ocean to the United States for further study. There he received his PhD degree(博士学位)in mathematics.
He made a lot of contributions(贡献) to the physics and space programs in China. When he returned to China in 1955, the country's space research was almost nothing. In 1956, he set up the first research organization of rockets and missiles(导弹).From then on he was in charge of developing China’s missile and rocket research programs. He was a pioneer in these important fields about space and was named as “The Father of China's Missiles”.

It's well-known that we Chinese often have a big dinner during public holidays. In fact, eating dinner with the families is good for children in our daily life. But what you may not know is that eating together as a family is also good for parents.
