“How good these will be with my bread and butter,” thought George. He picked up all of the strawberries. As he was lifting the first strawberry to his mouth, he remembered his sick mother, alone in her dark, cold room in the village.
With this in mind, he put the strawberry back again. “Shall I save them for her ” he asked himself.

You might have heard that some cities are running out of water. How can a city run out of water To answer this question, we need to take a look at where our water comes from.
Water covers 70 percent of Earth’s surface. But most of that is seawater. Fresh water is what we use to drink, take showers and cook food. Less than 1 percent of the world’s water is fresh and can be used.
Usually, fresh water comes from rivers and lakes. But the number of water which can be used changes over time. People build reservoirs(水库)to help store water so that they always have enough water to use. During rainy times, the reservoir stores water from rivers. When it is dry, the reservoir lets water back into the rivers.
Underground water is another source of fresh water. For example, water from wells is a kind of underground water.
The ocean can also give us water. But we need to remove its salt before we can use it.This can be expensive. So it is not very common in poor countries.
Take Cape Town, the second-biggest city in South Africa, as an example. It almost ran out of water in 2018. Its water problem was caused by population growth and a record drought(创纪录的干旱),National Geographic reported. Now, people in this city are trying to save water. Each person is using less than 100 liters of water a day, according to Xinhua. The government in Cape Town is trying to find a way to use ocean water to help solve the problem.

Many children wrote letters to ask him for help with their homework. One day, he wrote a letter to a young girl to tell her not to worry about her Maths homework because he thought Maths was difficult too.
Einstein considered time to be important.

That’s why he never remembered his own phone number. 44 It is true that if we are going to do great things in our lives, we cannot waste time.
Einstein liked to joke too.
In one exam, a student asked him why all the questions were the same as last year’s. Einstein replied the questions were the same, but the answers were different!
If we ever feel like giving up when we have problems, we should think of Einstein. When he was a child, his teachers used to say he was not clever. However, Einstein kept working hard and surprised the world with his achievements. 45
A. Give students a chance to correct their mistakes.
